What is a GCI?
GCI stands for “Global Credit Index”, and is an index created by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to measure the level of global credit risk. The index is comprised of 12 countries and is based on a variety of economic and financial data points. This includes data such as GDP growth rate, inflation rate, unemployment rate, foreign exchange reserves, and the debt to GDP ratio.
